Summer is already here and those of you who stay in the UAE know that the heat is a force to be reckoned with. We know that sitting in the house all day can get quite boring, which is why we decided to compile a list of things you can do in and around the UAE while steering clear of the heat.

1. Ski Dubai

Okay, this is a pretty obvious option. While other countries may have snowfall once a year, Dubai is a place where you can enjoy snow the whole year. Head over to Ski Dubai in Mall of the Emirates where you can play in the Snow Park, ski or snowboard down a huge slope or even enjoy some time with a few penguins. Additional activities include zip lining and various other rides in and around the Snow Park. You can also relax and sip a nice hot chocolate in the cafe, while your kids run around in the snow.

2. Water Parks

There are quite a few water parks located around the UAE, and what other time to visit them than the summer? Loaded with fun activities and tons of rides to keep you entertained, you can just drive to the nearest water park and enjoy a whole day. You can go to parks like Wild Wadi (Dubai), Yas Waterworld (Abu Dhabi) , Ice Land (Ras Al Khaima), Aquapark (Umm al Quwayn) or even Aquaventure (Dubai) where you can also play with dolphins.

3. Indoor Activities

If you want to have a good time indoors, you can always head to one of the malls around UAE where your kids can enjoy a day in Magic Planet. You can also go to various bowling alleys such as Dubai International Bowling Center, go ice skating in Dubai Mall or even sign up for squash lessons in Al Nasr Leisureland. You can also head down to Mirdiff City Center where you can go for an indoor sky diving session at iFly.

4. Water Sports

Sure it may be hot outside, but nothing beats the heat than some good old watersports. Head down to areas like Mamzar, where you can rent out a jetski for a couple hours or go Kayaking in Abu Dhabi. If you are feeling a little more adventurous, you can head over to Sunset Beach in Dubai for a nice surfing session. Rates can differ according to location, so its best to do your research first.

5. Spa Treatments

If you are not the adventure loving person, then maybe the best way to relax is a nice long spa session. Pampering yourself never goes wrong, and going for the best places makes it even better. Head on over to Cryo in Jumeirah Emirates Towers, where you can enjoy a session of Cryo therapy for AED 350, which will result in weight loss, better circulation and even athletic recovery. You can also head to other spas in and around the UAE such as Emaar, Mandara etc, the list is endless. Find your best package and go ahead and pamper yourself.
